Medical Qigong Classes Overview: Medical Qigong Programs Four Medical Qigong certification programs are available at Nature’s Path Center, all of which are certified through the International Institute of Medical Qigong (IIMQ). The IIMQ serves as the Overseas College of Medical Qigong for Henan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine (HUTCM) located in Henan, China. Qigong 1A and 1B are required before starting the certification program.
What is Medical Qigong? Medical Qigong is one of the four main branches of Chinese medicine along with acupuncture, herbal medicine, and medical massage. Medical Qigong is the study of the energetic map of the body based on classical and alchemical Chinese Medicine as well as more Traditional Chinese Medicine. Medical Qigong techniques can be practiced on oneself for self-cultivation or on others as healing protocols. Prescription exercises, meditations and healing protocols, enhance body, mind and spirit and can also address the energetic imbalances in the body which lead to disease patterns. Medical Qigong, healing occurs through balancing one’s qi which surrounds and pervades all living creatures. Chinese medicine is a complete system of medicine that recognizes the root causes of symptoms or disease, and treats the client as a whole system. The Medical Qigong student at Nature's Path Center will learn valuable diagnostic and assessment techniques as well as applications of Medical Qigong for purgation, tonification and regulation of qi. The student will also develop skills for prescribing specific Medical Qigong exercises and meditations as client homework. |
