ABOUT THE JOURNEY
Trip dates for 2008: Friday, March 21 - Friday, April 4, 2008

The essence of these special and unique trips is one of community and individuation of experience. These intentions have been wonderfully crafted and skillfully embodied on each trip.

One very effective tool has been feedback received by the participants, which becomes the fuel for change and growth of future trips. One trip influences the next and evolves as a result.
The intention for this year's Daoist Journey is on Personal Reflection and Advancement. It is a time for reflecting on the completion of a major twelve cycle, bringing closure and completion to that cycle, and moving forward into the next twelve year cycle beginning with the Year of the Rat. To facilitate this process we will spend each day as follows:

  • Early morning Daoist Qigong with Dr. Seth (1 hour)
  • Silent breakfast at the Daoist Hotel
  • Daoist Meditation and Practice with Master Zhang (2 hours)
  • Lunch at the Temple
  • Dao Yin Mindful Walking, journaling and hiking Mt Qing Chen (4 hours)
  • Dinner at the Temple
  • Sun Tai Chi with Master Mong (2 hours)

"Dr. Seth Lefkowitz has lead over 16 trips to China. Each has been instrumental to my growth, evolution, and change. From my first journey in 1995 when I received my D.M.Q. (Doctor of Medical Qigong) to last year’s, each has been special with a unique energetic signature which would set the trip apart from any other. But as I warn all potential participants: Be forewarned, this is not a Tour! Rather, it is a Journey. A tour observes and sees. A Journey embodies and changes. When you say Yes to this Journey, you set into motion a wheel which will forever change your life."

See Personal Stories on this website for more individual accounts of these trips.

CANCELLATION INSURANCE
It is strongly recommended that trip cancellation insurance be purchased to protect you against losses due to accidents and/or illness. Check with your insurance agent regarding coverage you may presenty have via other insurance policies that may cover illness during your trip.

ACCOMMODATIONS
The hotels are double occupancy unless single room supplement of an additional $400 is purchased. This means that if you are unable to find someone to share a room with you and you don’t wish for us to pair you up, then you will be required to purchase the single room supplement. The registration form will have an area where you can make your choice of either desire.

TRANSPORTATION
Travelers are responsible for getting to SFO on the day of departure with adequate time to make the flight. We will check in as a group once everyone has arrived. That is why it is important to allow for enough time to gather. Once you’ve registered for this trip, details like the time, flight no., and where to meet at the airport, specifically, will be made known to you.

Please limit your checked luggage to one (50 lbs maximum). We recommend traveling as light as possible. This trip is not overly strenuous, but there will be a moderate amount of walking and physical demands, how much hiking is your choice once we arrive at Mt. Qing Chen. (note: keep suitcases unlocked at airports to facilitate inspections, which can arise or buy the TSA locks approved by airports. With these locks your luggage can be opened, inspected and re-locked by luggage screeners). See Checklist (pdf) for helpful ideas on what to pack.

TRAVEL DOCUMENTS
All travelers must hold a valid passport whose expiration is at least six months after the end of the trip. All passport applications, fees, and Visa to China will be taken care of by Dr. Seth Lefkowitz. Again,
please make sure that you have signed your passport and that your name on your forms appears as it does on your passport!

If possible, drop off your passport to Nature's Path Center, otherwise mail using Federal Express or any reliable express mail company.
